NRMC Charts

Chemist Connect utilises the National Residential Medication Charts (NRMC) to provide efficiency for the doctors visiting aged care facilities. NRMC Charts allow doctors to write an order on the medication chart and avoid the need to issue a separate prescription for that medication (Excluding Schedule 8 Medication and Phone authority medications). This saves the doctors a lot of time and encourages doctors to visit residents at aged care facilities as it reduces the amount of paper work required of them.

These NRMC Charts are valid for a period of up to 4 months, meaning they only need to be reviewed and signed by the doctors three times a year. This system avoids any delays in the supply of medications to the residents as it disregards the need for the pharmacist to follow up on a prescription from the relevant prescriber prior to supply (Excluding Schedule 8 Medications).
